Overview: 62-bed Priority Assessment Unit at St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey.

We were the strategic delivery partner to main contractor Premier Modular to deliver a £9.8m two-storey, 62-bed Priority Assessment Unit. Claritas Four Zero oversaw the site preparation and installation of the building modules which were manufactured and fitted out offsite. As well as 62 patient bays, the scheme also provides nurse stations, staff rooms and seminar rooms.

The new build two-storey assessment unit links to the existing and fully operational emergency department and works were undertaken in the heart of the live and fully operational hospital.

This fast-track building project reduced the programme by up to nine months compared to in-situ construction which was strategically important to allow the NHS Trust to meet an urgent need to expand capacity for emergency care.
