Overview: Construction of 94 sustainable SIPS panel, timber-framed homes, over seven infill sites.
As a BOPAS accredited contractor, we constructed 94 sustainable homes using offsite manufactured SIPS panel and timber frames. The homes were located across the Borough, in seven infill sites, and were delivered in two phases.
As a mixed tenure development, we provided:
– 51 houses
– 43 flats
Working in close collaboration with the customer throughout the preconstruction phase, we were able to work to a fixed contract price, providing clear cost certainty. To ensure quality and effective scheduling the project was carefully monitored and managed by all parties through to successful completion and sign-off.
SIPS panel construction
Each panel came complete with windows and mechanical and electrical installations. We undertook quality inspections and testing upon delivery and prior to installations. As the BOPAS accredited contractor we were also required to manage and provide full structural warranty through BLP Insurance.
In addition to the offsite SIPS panel construction, we provided further innovation by working with the manufacturers to enable offsite production of the balconies. This provided efficiencies in cost and benefits to the programme timing.
